After much discussion by the Hinton Mennonite Relief Center board, we’ve made the decision to can meat again this year. We feel the need for meat (as a protein source) in many parts of the world is one we simply cannot walk away from.  Because the cost of chicken is much less than turkey, we will be canning chicken this year. While we don’t need volunteers to hand cut meat, we do still need volunteers to grind and can chicken and clean, label and box the cans. We plan to start each day at 6am with a need for 20 volunteers, with work for an additional 20 by 8AM. Approximately 40 volunteers will be needed at any given time for the remainder of the day, which will end at around 8pm. Mountain Valley Churches day to contribute help to can Chicken is Tuesday, 21, 2023. Help is needed from 6AM -8PM. For more information call Lloyd Knicely
