ANNOUNCEMENTS Today after church there will be a potluck meal for anyone who wants to stick around and hear from the Burkholders about their trip and see their pictures. The picture viewing will probably start around 1 or 1:30. Wednesday evening - instead of regular prayer meeting, we will be handing out invitations to the community picnic. This Sunday is the last Sunday to get the ballots regarding the Sunday School Superintendent and Church Council members turned in. Please give them to Ric. Sept 13 - Community Picnic Sept 14 - 5 p.m. Mountain Valley Mennonite Churches "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner". A sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board. Indicate if you want to be a "host" or "guest". Deadline is Sept 7. Sept 26,27 - Friday evening and Saturday. Mountain Valley Mennonite Churches annual assembly with Todd Neunswander as our guest speaker. The assembly is for everyone so please plan to attend. Registration is now open for the 5th annual 5K for Relief that will be held at the Virginia Mennonite Relief Sale on October 4 at 8:30 am. Runners, joggers, walkers, strollers, and youth are all welcome to participate. Participants who register by Sept 26 will get a free T-shirt. Sign up now at runwalkjog.com/relief. |
