ANNOUNCEMENTS Wednesday evening - Prayer & Bible study Sept 11 - WMSC (sewing circle) at 9:30 am. Sept 13 - Community Picnic at 5 pm. Meat, fried pies, and ice cream will be provided. Please bring generous side dishes and drinks to share. There are extra fliers on the back table that you can use to invite others. Sept 14 - 5 p.m. Mountain Valley Mennonite Churches "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner". A sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board. Indicate if you want to be a "host" or "guest". Deadline is Sept 7. Sept 26,27 - Mountain Valley Mennonite Churches Assembly here at Morning View. Todd Neuschwander moderator of Biblical Mennonite Alliance and pastor of United Bethel will be our quest speaker. The theme for this year's assembly is " The Christians focus in trying times". Please plan to attend all the sessions. There will be a carrying in meal Saturday the 27th at noon. Registration is now open for the 5th annual 5K for Relief that will be held at the Virginia Mennonite Relief Sale on October 4 at 8:30 am. Runners, joggers, walkers, strollers, and youth are all welcome to participate. Participants who register by Sept 26 will get a free T-shirt. Sign up now at runwalkjog.com/relief. |
